Henry Ferrier

Accredited Social Worker (AASW)

Clients ages 12 YEARS and up

Henry approaches therapy with warmth, curiosity, and a genuine commitment to creating a compassionate and non-judgmental space. He works with adolescents and adults who may feel stuck in intense emotional and relational patterns — including those experiencing self-harm, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, or ongoing difficulties in relationships.

Henry has a particular interest in supporting individuals navigating personality-related difficulties and eating disorders and is a credentialed eating disorder clinician. He works with presentations where patterns feel entrenched or hard to shift and understands how overwhelming and isolating these experiences can be. He offers a space where clients can begin to make sense of their inner world and relational experiences.

Drawing on approaches such as Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP), Schema Therapy, and evidence-based treatments for eating disorders, including CBT-E and Focal Psychodynamic Therapy, Henry supports clients to explore patterns, build self-understanding, and move toward more stable, integrated, and fulfilling ways of relating to themselves and others.

Henry offers individual psychotherapy for a range of concerns, including:

·      Emotional dysregulation and mood difficulties

·      Anxiety disorders and stress-related difficulties

·      Self-harm and suicidal ideation

·      Relationship and attachment challenges

·      Complex trauma (PTSD and C-PTSD), including sexual assault and domestic and family violence

·      Personality disorders

·      Eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa

·      Substance misuse and dependency

·      Neurodiversity and related challenges

Therapeutic Approach

Henry’s approach integrates CBT, CBT-E, Schema Therapy, Transference-Focused Psychotherapy, Focal Psychodynamic Psychotherapy for Anorexia, and Family-Based Therapy. He is a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician through the Australia and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED). His work is tailored to each client’s needs, with a focus on depth, collaboration, and meaningful long-term change.

He is currently undertaking advanced training in Transference-Focused Psychotherapy, supported by weekly specialist TFP supervision over a three-year period to ensure accountability, fidelity to the model, and ongoing professional growth. His work is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and helping clients develop a clearer and more coherent sense of themselves and their relationships.
