Kat is a Clinical Psychologist and gained her Master of Clinical Psychology qualification for ACAP in Sydney. Previously, she studied Bachelor of Arts Majoring in Psychology at Edith Cowan University in WA and Advanced Diploma in Psychology at Murdoch University in WA.
Kat aims to create a supportive and non-judgemental space for clients to explore their inner world and make meaningful change. Kat works collaboratively with clients to understand the patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviours that may be keeping them stuck, and to develop new ways of relating to themselves and others. Her approach is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and curiosity, helping clients move towards greater emotional balance, resilience, and fulfilment.
Kat has experience, working across both inpatient and private practice settings, supporting children, teens, and adults with a wide range of presentations including anxiety and phobias, depression, suicidal ideation and self-harm, OCD, trauma, substance use, relational difficulties, anger management, bullying, grief, and neurodivergence such as ASD and ADHD. Kat also has experience providing support to clients in acute inpatient settings with psychosis working alongside the Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIPS) team. She has a particular interest and passion in helping clients struggling with anxiety and depression, as well as individuals experiencing school and work difficulties. Kat enjoys building client’s emotional awareness, coping skills, and self-acceptance to help them navigate life’s challenges.
Kat takes an integrative and client-centered approach to therapy, drawing primarily from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), while incorporating elements of Schema Therapy. Her style is collaborative and practical, balancing evidence-based strategies with genuine connection and empathy. Kat creates an inclusive space that welcomes people from all cultural backgrounds, identities, and life experiences.
Kat is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and provides services under Medicare.
Kat works on Tuesdays. She is currently accepting new clients.
